Fresh Thinking to get Good Lives for those with Complex Reputations

About 360 Inclusive

Who we are and what we do

360 Inclusive is a social enterprise working with statutory bodies to ensure individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and complex reputations get to live their best life.

Our comprehensive services, include Good Life Planning, Support Brokerage and Service Reviews.

We prioritise inclusivity and tailored support to meet individual needs.

By working alongside individuals and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives outside of institutional settings and as a part of their local community we can see reduced reliance on paid-for services and harness the power of relationships and having a sense of purpose. The outcomes of this approach are better for individuals, better for our communities and make much better use of public funds.

Vision

We envision a society where individuals with autism and learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives outside of institutional settings, embraced by communities that understand and accept their unique contributions.

Mission

To demonstrate in our work with statutory bodies how through truly personalised support and inclusive services we can achieve better outcomes for those with complex reputations.

Values

Our values are rooted in inclusion, empowerment, interdependence and dignity. We are committed to providing an alternative to systemic approaches that focus on deficits and instead create environments where individuals are welcomed for their gifts, passions and contribution.

Good Life Planning

A Good Life Plan is a personalised strategy for not only meeting need, but crucially addressing all aspects of an individual's good life, their interdependencies, and ultimately their fulfilment.

In looking beyond deficits we can identify the essential support required to create to a positive living environment and open up a wider range of community assets to enhance what ‘services’ can provide

Brokerage is how we implement a Good Life Plan. We work with you to piece together and coordinate the elements needed to set up a bespoke support arrangement.

This typically includes identifying the right Support Provider, preparing the bespoke team and identifying and setting up the right property to become the individual’s home.

When a living situation is ‘at risk’ the focus too often centres on the individual and behaviours that are causing concern. In reality, instability arises from the dynamic between those providing support, the living environment, and the life being lived.

Our independent review process helps unpick these situations by understanding the risks to the individual, provider and commissioning authority. Our reviews are solution-focussed and result in practical recommendations for how to reset a situation that is not delivering a good life.

To achieve our vision of a society where individuals with autism and learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives outside of institutional settings will require a different conversation about care and support. We need to move from talking about ‘challenging behaviour’ to recognising the impact of stress on individuals, and how without clear understanding those who should be supporting people can exacerbate stress. If we are to move fully towards restraint reduction and seclusion-free practices we need to talk about trauma-informed care, proactive interventions, and effective staff training.

If we are to move away from expensive placements and services, we need to bring communities into the conversation and learn to talk about good lives, interdependence (not independence) and the importance of being a contributing citizen.

We are proud to be part of changing the conversation.
